Google Earth

Thanks to a friend on Buzznet, I now have a GMail account, so here's my first try at posting something from Google Earth. (Even though I didn't really need the Gmail account after all.)

So this (homebase: Missoula) is an example of what we can post while we are on the road. A new perspective to augment the on-the-ground photos we'll be inundating you with. Click on the photo for a larger version.

Call for GMail

Mom will love this one. I found something that will allow me to post satellite photos of exact locations we are while we're on the trip. So far Mexico City, Oaxaca, my hometown, and our current address are all scouted... Theoretically we can type coordinates from the GPS into the program and post exact photos of where we are.

But in order to do that, I have to have a GMail account. So if you or someone you know can help a sister out, please share your love. It will be returned to you in Karma.

Update: I had several offers from people on Buzznet, so I think I'm good to go. But thanks!!

Planning stage

Less than 2 months to go until we leave Missoula and there is so much to do. We set up this site so friends and family can follow us on our journey and my parents can make sure we're still alive (kidding, Mom).

Right now, we're plotting points of interest on a map in the dining room and from there we'll plan a route to the Yucatan penninsula and back.

We hope we will be able to update often from the road, but it will all depend on the availability of wireless internet. Hospitals, hotels, and coffee shops will be our friends.

So stay tuned and feel free to leave comments or email us at letsgogetsometacos@hotmail.com.
